Business Holiday Cards

I didn't take art at high school level so in order to learn my craft, I attended York academy of Art as a student in the graphic art program my first year.

Second year, I had to get into the fine art program where all my interest really seemed to be targeted. Most of my works, at that time, were of landscapes and people. However, these called for having a model or being somewhere on location. In this new program I needed to get the images out of my head (just as I did in the graphic arena). Artists draw from the world around them. Now my subjects came from the world that I knew, which was Black. The first piece done was Black Beauty. I started out with the sun as my subject and somehow it came out as Black art. I don't ask questions.
